ARE YOUR PEARLS REAL?
Absolutely, we use cultured or farmed pearls from oysters and freshwater mussels that we carefully hand select for our pieces. All our pearls are top certified AAA+ grade and selected by our founder Olivia from the pearl farms across Asia for their individual beauty.
WHY ARE YOUR PEARLS DESIGNS CHEAPER THAN OTHER LEADING BRANDS?
Major brands in our industry markup their products up significantly. We do things differently. We want to be inclusive not exclusive so as to make our luxury products accessible, we've built relationships with the best manufacturers, pearl farms and gem minds to sell directly to you. Our jewellery is handcrafted with the same top materials and quality craftsmanship as other luxury jewellery brands but without the traditional markups.
WHAT IS VERMEIL GOLD PLATING?
How do you pronounce that!? Its Ver - May. Not to be confused with standard regular gold plating. Vermeil is the thickest layer of plating which gives the pieces everlasting colour and durability. For a piece to be considered Vermeil, the Gold must be a minimum of 10ct and 1.5 microns. We use 2.5 to 3.5 microns 18ct Gold layered on Sterling Silver – it’s the best you can get!
DO YOU OFFER SOLID GOLD ITEMS?
Yes we do, gold is one of the precious metals that will not oxidize or discolour, as it is one of the least reactive metals – so it will last you a lifetime and beyond. Check out our Oh So Fine collection in 18ct and 14ct gold. We are currently working on offering all our products in silver, vermeil plating and sold gold in the coming year…stay tuned and stay golden.
DOES MY JEWELLERY HAVE A WARRANTY?
Every piece of Olivia & Pearl Jewellery is covered by a five-year warranty on receipt of valid proof of purchase.
Should your jewellery suffer a breakage within six months of purchase, which is believed to be a manufacturing defect by Olivia & Pearl, we are committed to ensure your piece is replaced or fixed depending on the issue and returned to you at no cost. Email care@oliviaandpearl.com and the team will be happy to resolve.
If you are outside of the six month period but purchased the item within 5 years, we are still able to offer you our repair service for your jewellery for a fee, this will be chargeable depending on the item.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I SNAP MY PEARL NECKLACE?
No worries, these things happen so don’t beat yourself up, we all have accidents from time to time. If you snap your pearl necklace collect all the pearls and clasp and place in a sealable bag, email care@oliviaandpearl.com and we can arrange for your pearls to be restrung at a cost of £30.
